ABOUT US

Little Read Wagon aims to help close the literacy gap created by poverty and to share a love for books and reading with marginalized populations. Little Read Wagon plans to accomplish this goal by allowing children to choose their own new and used books from our book wagon, providing story time, planning and providing literacy activities, reading aloud to adults, and filling book requests from individuals, groups, teachers, nursing homes, businesses, laundromats, child and adult day centers, nonprofits, schools, disability groups, etc. We want to get books and literacy resources into marginalized communities in the greater Norman/Oklahoma City area. Books and services are provided free of charge and are funded by donations.  In our first year of operation, Little Read Wagon gave out more than 10,000 books
